Death is morbid. Benjamin Franklin said it best when he said, "Nothing is certain but death and taxes." Now with the global economic collapse, the taxes thing is pretty uncertain, but death will always haunt you. It is the one thing we are all born to do, and we will do it whether we like it or not.
So often we procrastinate and ignore the fact that time is running out on usthe time to be happy and grateful and positive is now. We don't know how long we are going to be around, or when our time will be up. Waiting for every condition to be perfect before we make a dramatic change to our life is unreasonable - because condition are never going to be absolutely perfect.
Life has a strange habit of throwing out big and small curveballs that will derail you if you let them, and that's something that will continue through our lives. There is no time like the present to go for it - or you might find yourself five or ten years on in the same place, not someone doing what they love but rather someone who had a really good idea once.
Death is justsosad, and soterrifying. The thought of having someone dying on me is literally the worst thing that could ever happen to me. Which kind of shocks me, since it is going to happen to literally every person I have ever met, including myself. On the other hand if we think about it, imminent death is the only thing we have in common with every single person we meet.
Ok, so death is an inevitability that we all must face someday... unless someoneinvents some kind of invincibility serum. Butwho would want that? Living forever soundspretty boring. So make the most of now, make that call, tell the loved one you have been fighting with that it is all forgiven and repair those relationships. Although we cannot live in constant fear of death, because that is not living, we can accept that it is going to happen and plan accordingly.
