iThemba Lethu thrilled by generous donation

iThemba Lethu thrilled by generous donation

Date: 2017-12-15

At KZN Women in Business' (KZNWIB) year-end event on Thursday 7th December the organisation presented their nominated charity, iThemba Lethu, with a cheque for R100 00.00.

KZNWIB is the longest-standing businesswomen's networking association in KwaZulu Natal that acts as a support structure for women and a forum for fostering relationships, building networks, exchanging business knowledge and, ultimately assisting members to grow their businesses and in turn make a significant contribution to the economy, our city, and our province.

As a non-profit organization, KZNWIB donate all their profits to a charity that is nominated by their members each year. "We are thrilled to be able to support iThemba Lethu and the wonderful work they do," said Mel Gard, outgoing KZNWIB Chairperson.

IThemba Lethu Marketing & Fundraising Co-ordinator, Karen Brokensha, was overwhelmed by the generous donation. "We are extremely grateful to every single member and guest of KZNWIB for their support both financially and emotionally. As a local Durban based NGO committed to caring for vulnerable babies and children affected by HIV/AIDS we remain passionate in developing youth and restoring families to regain a meaningful destiny."
