Kim Bagshaw Book Launch

Kim Bagshaw Book Launch

Date: 2021-12-17

Earlier this month at the David Landau Hall in Asherville, Durban-based publishing house, Multi-Marketing Publishing, headed by Overport-based author, Naushad Khan, hosted an official book launch for their newly published author, Kim Bagshaw and her debut book, "William".

"William" is South Africa's first ever mainstream vampire tale set in Durban and the beginning of what is set to be a thriller series with the setting primarily based in the greater Durban region. The story centers around the title character, a discreet vampire William, who falls in love with a mortal woman, Carla and inadvertently tosses her into his dark world where his nefarious brother makes an unexpected emergence to turn their once peaceful lives and blossoming love upside-down.

The book launch was well-attended and received by Kim's family and friends as well as members of the media, local libraries and even fellow authors. It featured an on-stage book handover presentation, an interview segment between publisher and author, live reading from Kim, Q&A session with the audience as well as an autographing and photo-op session.

The book launch was viewed as a raving success and now that the dust has settled, the journey for Kim has only just begun as Multi-Marketing Publishing has embarked on an aggressive marketing campaign, which includes national bookstore distribution in the pipeline for early 2022.
