Thanks to the Umhlanga Women Achievers, two cottages at the Malvern Child and Youth Care Centre received brand new stoves on which to prepare meals for their children. The Centre is a safe haven for 120 vulnerable and orphaned children, who live with their child care workers in 11 separate homes on the premises.
"The wellbeing of our children, which means 3 nutritious meals a day, is of the utmost importance. So, when we put out our appeal for help with 2 new stoves, we were absolutely delighted by the immediate response we received from the Umhlanga Women Achievers. We would like to thank this wonderful association for coming to our aid with not just one blessing, but for taking care of the urgent need for stoves for both of these cottages," said Lee Jarrett, PR & Fundraising Manager.
