What's the issue?

What's the issue?

Sis on the Economic Freedom Front for attacking South Africa's sweetheart businesswomen Khanyi Dhlomo. It can only be jealousy that has prompted this crowd of deluded economists into trying to insist that Khanyi give back the money the National Empowerment Fund has loaned her to jump start her exclusive clothing store in Hyde Park Centre. For once a black entrepreneur takes on high end merchandise and these guys appose her. They would likely only be happy if she was selling oranges and loose from the bottom of an oil spugpug at the taxi rank. There is the economic freedom they wish for her.

However the leader of the EFF, our old chum Julius, now points his finger at a small group of Indians who are 'in bed' with a small group of Afrikaners and this is why SARS is targeting him for the sixteen million Rand of unpaid taxes. I think that now brings it to a sum total of every single race, culture, creed, tribe, and possibly even denomination, that is now to blame for Malema's shortcomings. Of course it has nothing to do with Julius, no, can't be. It must be those Afrikaners and them Indians who are to blame. Of course.

On a more serious subject, it was reported by one of the leading international titles that our illustrious president Jacob Zuma has produced a sublime little shuffle, slipping Kgalema out of the seat as chairman of the National Nuclear Energy Co-Ordination Committee and slipping himself into the position. Alarm bells should have rung somewhere in Kgalema's head as this now puts Jacob in the driving seat of what is estimated to be a tender to top all tenders. The estimated value of this tender is around a Trillion Rand. Gasp! Cough! Splutter!

The good news is that Jacob and Vladimir have been talking about Russia becoming the principle supplier of our abilities to get into nuclear power. Still we don't get to listen to those tapes first too bad. Part of the shuffle included a little side-lining for South Africa's favourite businessman and potential politician, good old Cyril. Too little too late Cyril, I think he could have pulled it off if he had acted sooner. Now he is just another dream we all let slip by.

Wait, wasn't I going to talk about something serious, oh yes that's right. So I must speak of the elections in Zimbabwe and Robert Mugabe shows that this is not the first time he has done this. He smoothly prevented any observers from he United Nations, United States, European Union or anyone that he doesn't like or that doesn't like him. So all fingers are crossed and by the time you read this the election will be under way observed by five observers each from places like Venezuela, Sudan and Cuba. The only real observers are the African Union and the South African Development Community and they are going to need all the help they can get because we all want a free and fair election, just not one that we have to turn our faces away from in order to declare it such.
