You dream it - Aberfoyle create it

You dream it - Aberfoyle create it

Date: 2014-06-20
The two brothers David Tanner and Kelway Tanner moved to Tongaat with their family from Umdloti in around 1953.

They were still very young when they settled on the Aberfoyle Sugar Farm in Tongaat. Their parents worked for the Tongaat Group and their father managed the Aberfoyle section of the vast sugar estate.

That's how they chose the name Aberfoyle for their latest business venture. Aberfoyle Engineering started off as a small cut and supply shop but has now grown into something much bigger, "We sell steel and manufacture to any requirements," said Tanner.

"We presently sub contract for PT engineering, which is a company in Tongaat, that Kelway Tanner and George Pringle started together, and we manufacture items for PT engineering for the oil industry, for the oilrigs." He continued

"We are starting to make wrought iron furniture, which is quite an up and coming popular trend. YOU DESIGN IT WE MAKE IT. That is our catch phrase." He concluded.

Aberfoyle has a staff of 5 people whom are boilermakers and welders, and work in the factory manufacturing the products to your specification. This family orientated business is a very close and personal business, which makes it a pleasure to do business with.

For any requirements in steel manufacturing and engineering, from balustrades to staircases, architectural elements to industrial applications, Aberfoyle Engineering can build it. Call them on 032 947 2799.
