Festival of Chariots attracts thousands
The Yatra Ratra Festival is organized by the Hari Krishna movement and celebrated around the world. it began more than 5000 years ago in the Indian holy city of Jagannatha Puri, and is centered on the drawing of three chariots bearing the statues of Lord Jagannath, Lord Baladeva and Subhadra along the city's streets. Jagannath is considered a form of Vishnu, a god in the Hindu pantheon, or his avatar, Krishna. This year's 25th celebrations was inspired to reverberate the same unity that came about at the first festival.
"Today, King Goodwill Zwelithini is talking about social cohesion, and we want to be able to promote that though the festival.
