It's World Education Games Time!

It's World Education Games Time!

Date: 2013-02-21
Entries are open! For the second consecutive year, South African learners and schools will be able to compete in the global World Education Games taking place from 5 to7 March 2013. Individual learners or classes will be able to test their spelling, maths and science skills and compete in live challenges in real time against learners from around the world using the online World Education Games websites. Sydney will host the competition again this year which involved over 5 million students from over 200 countries and territories, making the World Education Games what is now the world's largest online education event. Entries close on the 5 March.

Learners and teachers can go to https://www.worldeducationgames.com to register and take part.

"It is always great to see learners of all ages, backgrounds and abilities improving their speed and accuracy in a fun, interactive way. Following the success of the first World Education Games last year, 3P Learning is excited to once again bring this exciting challenge to local learners and schools," says Rob Masefield, African CEO of Mathletics.

The internationally renowned Human Calculator, Scott Flansburg, will once again resume his role as Global Ambassador of World Maths Day.

"Education is a hot topic in our country at the moment and this competition offers an avenue for renewing enthusiasm toward learning. I call on teachers to encourage individual learners and their schools to get involved in this fantastic, fun and educational event. Good luck to all participating schools. Let's show the world that we too have talented learners that can compete at an international level," concludes Masefield.
