Her spiritual master, His Holiness Shri Satpalji Maharaj, who comes from a long linage of saints, sent Mahatma Angira Baiji or Baiji, as she is affectionately known, to South Africa six years ago. Baiji spent a lot of time in Mexico where she was enlightening the devotees to their teachings before she was posted in Verulam.
Baiji's philosophy is very simple, it is realizing one's own innate potential and to evolving it to its ultimate levels. It means realising the common bond, which encompasses the whole universe. It is universal, eternal, ever present and beyond matter and mind. Man is not merely a mechanism of body and mind but is Spirit in its truest sense. This is why it is said that we are one in spirit. In fact spirit is life and life is spirit. Manav Dharam therefore in simplest terms can be summed up in the phrase 'Know thyself!'
Most of Baiji's inspirations are drawn from, Jesus, Buddha, Krysna and Mohammed. She believes that we should all embrace all religions in order to find eternal spiritual freedom.
Charmain Koobaik lives in Verulam and is a devotee of Mahatma Angira Baiji. She explained that even though she was born in a conservative Hindu home she did not understand the meaning of most of the rituals and festivals and has been searching for the truth and understanding for many years visiting churches and mosques.
"It was when I started having children that I realised how important it was to have a faith that I understand and can pass to my children." Explained Charmain. Manav Dharam Spiritual Mission has given Charmain the faith she has always dreamed she would have and she is a faithful devotee of His Holiness Shri Satpalji Maharaj.
The message Baiji is preaching is simple and yet profound; "The Knowledge of God is the most sacred thing in the Universe. By receiving that Knowledge, by coming in contact with the Knowledge we can also become sacred."
