Calling All KZN Amateur Golfers

Calling All KZN Amateur Golfers

Date: 2012-07-11
As The 18th Amateur World Golfers Championship gets into full swing, the question on everyone's lips is "how will the KZN amateur golfers fair this year after the province's representation of two players in TEAM South Africa last year?"

Following last year's international acclaim for the hosting of the event, World Golf Events South Africa has reported that The 18th Amateur World Golfers Championship promises to be even bigger and better. Aspiring amateur golfers, over the age of 16 and with an official handicap, can enter in any of the regional eliminations and entry is not limited to one region should they not qualify at first. The winners in each handicap flighting (0-5, 6-10, 11-15, 16-20, 21-25) receives an all-expenses paid trip to the TEAM South Africa Finals where they will compete for a place in one of the two 5-person teams. As part of TEAM South Africa they will be hosted in KwaZulu-Natal by Tsogo Sun-hotels, the international host venue and accommodation partner, and will compete against amateur golfers from all over the world in pursuit of the coveted amateur world golfing title as a team and within their individual flighting.

The KwaZulu-Natal regional elimination takes place on the 2nd of August at Durban Country Club. Entries must be done online and received by World Golf Events timeously to ensure your place is booked on the tee-box. For more information and to enter, visit the website at https://www.wgesa.co.za or find 'World Golf Events South Africa' on Facebook for regular updates.
