SA Coach of the Year backing EADP??
SA Coach of the Year backing EADP??
With the Rio Olympic Games being the major focus for Hill and the swimmers he coaches, making sure that they are fully fit and consistently at the top of their game is crucial with around six months to go until one of the biggest sporting events in the world.
With this in mind Hill is impressed by how the EADP has helped in recovery of a number of swimmers. "I am not going to lie, the way in which the programme has helped in the rehabilitation of the swimmers has been incredible," mentioned Hill.
"Erin Gallagher managed to recover from a freak knee injury as well as Megan van Wyk just to name a few. ?"The way in which the athletes are treated at Prime by the staff of the EADP is out of this world and is great for me as a coach. ?
"It is brilliant that we can go to the doctors at Prime and they can assist us specifically as opposed to a regular doctor who tends to not have much interest in high performance sports," Hill stressed.
Having a centre that caters to athletes specific needs and with the peace of mind that his swimmers are in good hands has been a great help for Hill and gives him the freedom to concentrate specifically on getting his swimmers ready for competition.
"The trainers and doctors become as much a part of the swimmers preparations as I do! They play an important role in getting the swimmers primed and prepared and with the Olympics this year being our only focus now we can concentrate on our preparation and leave the rest to the professionals," he added.
With the Rio Olympic Games coming up later in 2016 Hill's focus is primarily on the showpiece event and with the EADP providing his swimmers with the necessary advantage to succeed Hill is thankful for what the team at the Prime HPI do.
"Seeing my guys doing so well and always improving definitely means that the programme is working! I endorse the programme fully and with the Olympic qualifiers being our next major focus we just hope to see more improvements.
"April will be a big month for a number of the swimmers who have to qualify for the Olympics but we are hoping that the positive results can continue," a hopeful Hill stated.
