What's The Issue?

If you ever needed convincing that the world had gone mad then you need only pick up your favourite tabloid and you will see just how crazy things have become.
For starters there’s the guy who was selling Covid – 19 “infect yourself” kits, so you can choose to get Covid whenever it suits you. However the most bizarre of all was Julian Assange’s appeal against extradition to the US being quashed by the shameful morally destitute legal system of the English Government, on the UN’s Human Right s Day. You can’t miss the irony in that coincidence. They are going to kill him, mark my words, and with his death will come a not so small death to our freedom of the press and freedom of speech and a whole lot of other freedoms we all don’t seem to care so much about these days.
America just doesn’t know when to sit down and shut up, the sabre rattling warlords of the least liked nation on the planet are pushing as hard as they can for military intervention in the Ukraine, in the South China Sea, hell, wherever they can they’re flexing their bruised muscles and spoiling for a fight. Outgoing German Chancellor Angela Merkel is reported to have had the foresight to block the shipment of US Barrett rifles and other weapons bound for Ukraine. She is one clever woman that Angela.
Can’t say the same for her sleepy counterpart, Old Joe and his son Hunter, their involvement in the Ukraine needs to be investigated like so much else that isn’t ever going to be investigated. Like the heart problems that so many soccer stars and professional athletes are suffering recently. Anyway Sleepy Joe is joined by BoJo the clown with Boris jumping in on the anti Russia theme that the Western big wigs are orchestrating. NATO continues to expand Eastwards and all the while Russia has remained silent, it could just be that Ukraine is a little too far or a little too close for Russia to have American weapons flooding into the hands of so called Rebel Groups. This tactic is getting so old and see through.
But surely Mampara of the Month must go to Gwede Mantashe, speaking out against the protest against Shell’s seismic surveying of the Wild Coast, he actually said, “We consider the objections to these developments as apartheid and colonialism of a special type, masqueraded as a great interest for environmental protection.” Straigh faced, despite the whole world striving with ernest urgency to move away from fossil fuels. Here we are crying victim after the gifts have been given and the deal sealed without the will of the people even considered. I feel for the protestors, I would stand witht hem and wave banners and plackards if only I didn’t know that the government had already sold out the Wild Coast, bought and paid for, trhe sppech by Mantashe shows no willingness from his office to even consider saving the Wild Coast.
