This premium country fair, which has become a firm calendar favourite with all ages, will have a range equestrian activities performed by some of Shongweni's top riders, top quality wines available for tasting and purchasing, as well as a variety of family-friendly pursuits, activities, entertainment and stalls.
"The Horse & Wine Festival presented by Land Rover Durban is definitely one of Shongweni Club's annual highlights, whereby the club can showcase its incredible facilities and talent in a highly entertaining environment while raising funds for the club," said Shelly Moore of the Shongweni Club. "This year is set to be one of the biggest festivals so we are really encouraging everyone to come and enjoy a fantastic day out."
There will be a number of great exhibitions by top organisations such as John Deere as well as fantastic demonstrations including the Musical Kur Dressage display performed to the Crawford North Coast philharmonic orchestra; an impressive equestrian high jump competition as well as a polocrosse display by the Shongweni Polocrosse Club.
In addition to the equestrian delights, animal lovers will be kept enthralled with some top-level canine demonstrations by the K9 Police Dog Unit and a number of outdoor activities on offer are sure to keep all ages engaged. For the children, there will be a safe playtime area to keep them occupied as well as jumping castles, tractor and pony rides.
In addition, Land Rover Durban will have a full range of vehicles on show, as well as a test drive route available with Land Rover Durban drivers on hand to demonstrate the products available. Anyone who signs an offer to purchase on at the event will qualify for the prize of R 50000 worth of accessories for the new vehicle.
