Tribute to Madiba: We were honoured to say that he was a son of our soil

Tribute to Madiba: We were honoured to say that he was a son of our soil

Author: Sim Tshabalala
Date: 2013-12-13
We were honoured to say that he was a son of our soil, ONE OF US.... and that he was a huge instrument of our liberation. More importantly, we should even be prouder that as a son of Africa, he made such a massive impact, not only at home, but was an immense influence and inspiration to all nations and its leaders for many generations.. past, present and future. Not only has SA lost a leader, and father, but mankind and the world at large has lost a leader, a father, the greatest statesman of the 20th century, a visionary, a humanitarian, a diplomat, global icon.....with Flags flying at half-mast not only in SA, but all over the globe!! I wish SA media could actually grasp this and proudly celebrate this life like the rest of the world is doing.
