Create Braai Area for the Public?

Create Braai Area for the Public?

Date: 2019-07-26

Dear Ed,

My friends & I are always at the beach areas in Umhlanga near & surrounding the lighthouse areas walk way.

What we were told by UIP security who's just following the instructions of ANC led Council and that we are NOT allowed to braai in this ±95% White residents dominated.

Why has ANC led Council not made places whereby, we can braai, at this huge beach

Or designated areas, braai areas, even not near the swimming areas or life guard areas but little away from it,, even near the rocky areas where fishing is done & allowed!!!! But nobody swims.

NOT even the park like area, where the cars park, NO braais are allowed.

AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, why does the beach Main & Bronze Beaches have gates & boards saying that gates close at 8pm, NO vehicles are allowed after this times & vehicles parked there are instructed to vacate the place.

Why can't we have designated PAID braai areas like how beach umbrellas & chairs & ice cream etc. is sold

Or are we having this Umhlanga White residents behaving & thinking like the residents of Western Capes Clifton's White residents whom had Private White security close down the beach, during the festive times

Why is this allowed

Can the ANC led Council, Seniors, explain why this is done

As if the residents can't take or accept the noises etc. coming from the beaches, it's best they go live on a farm.

Awaiting ANC Led Councils answers
