Journeys through our Golden Highway

Journeys through our Golden Highway

We are aspiring to be travellers and not tourists. Trying out new things, meeting new people and looking beyond what's in front of us, trying to find the key to unlock the true wonders of our world.

You do not have to have a reason to chose the road less travelled, rent a campervan and hit the road. Whether you're a budget traveller or an extravagant voyeur, you will find #vanlife exhilarating.

The ride is more than comfortable, the interior large enough for two plus two if you have to share with the kids. We had the van all to ourselves and we loved the space and the calm we had with our home on wheels. If you're a fan of camping, and even if you're not, you may have thought about a step up in your holiday accommodation. This is definitely the way to go.

Our Maui camper van allowed us to experience all the joys of camping but with greater convenience. It was so luxurious having the kitchen with fridge, stove, hot and cold running water everywhere we went. We could take in the sunset while cooking the rice for dinner. And all that storage allowed us to bring everything we needed, from our snorkelling equipment to extra duvets and pillows, and the convenience of an on board toilet was immesureable, especially on the highway when we didn't have to stop.

One of our favourite spots, which we visited (and believe me they were all incredible), was the Sodwana Bay National Parknestled on the high dunes, the campsites are neat and tidy and well organised. When our camper decided to burry itself in the soft sand, after a long night of heavy rain, it took the camp site officials just ten minutes to have us back on the road smiling and waving as we slowly made our way North.

Despite it being a tad small on the inside, we had everything we needed (e.g. shower, toilet, stove, refrigerator and bed). The best part of the van is that we could live in it, which gave us so much freedom. The dinning table folded out and we could enjoy a respectable dinner in complete comfort.

The idea to leave everything for a life on the road filled with adventures is something most of us dream about. Don't wait for the right time to get on the road in 'your' campervan, rent one today; contact Maui Camper hire on 011 230 5005 and adventure your holiday away.
