Robin Hood Foundation's Entrepreneurs 4 Africa 2016

Robin Hood Foundation's Entrepreneurs 4 Africa 2016

Date: 2016-04-22
Known for their continued community outreach projects such as Love the Babies, Gogo bags, Bless-a-Granny and HOPE, The Robin Hood Foundation's Founder and Chairlady also has a passion for education in our communities!

As well as building and opening both a crèche and a High School in the past few years in Zwelibomvu and Kwanjobokazi respectively and in 2013, The Robin Hood Foundation hosted a FREE three day Entrepreneurial Conference called Entrepreneurs 4 Africa, for more than 300 previously disadvantaged existing and aspirant entrepreneurs. They followed up the conference with a 5 month free mentorship process. This conference equipped the delegates with basic business skills, exposed them to various business opportunities and they were inspired by several rags to riches stories.

In 2015, The Robin Hood Foundation hosted a FREE two day empowerment conference for 1000 previously disadvantaged women, called Future Women of Africa. The aim of this conference was to inspire, equip and ignite women and we covered a range of topics including leadership skills, hygiene and grooming, entrepreneurship, job-seeking and self-defence.

This conference aims to cover that and we have a group of successful entrepreneurs and business leaders lined up to share their skills and advice with the delegates; to expose them to some great business minds, ideas and networks that they would not have otherwise had access to. Enabling the delegates to go forward with their business ventures / ideas and put them into action and start or grow their businesses / business ideas.

The conference will be hosted at City Hill Church, Hillcrest on the 12th and 13th July. Delegates will be given manuals, refreshments and there will be lucky draw prizes each day.

Based on the success of our two previous conferences, we are confident that this event will inspired delegates to run successful businesses which can have a ripple effect in poor communities and in the South African economy in general.

If you are a corporate that would like to sponsor towards to event OR a member of the community that would like to apply to attend this FREE educational conference, please contact Kim Griffith Jones, Co-ordinator, on robinhoodfund@telkomsa.net for more information.
