Whats The Issue

Whats The Issue

Date: 2014-11-07
For the love of God! No, I am not blaspheming, I literally mean for the love of God. If you want to know anything about the love of God then ask the HARE KRSNAs, they practice the Yoga of devotion, Bhakti Yoga. Yoga designed to inspire love of and devotion to the supreme personality of Godhead.

So the reason for my outcry is the continuous stream of mind numbing statistics detailing the corruption, mismanagement, misappropriation, negligence, incompetence and uncaring manner with which so many of our government office bearers are going about their duties.

The Carte Blanche report on the state of Ezemvelo and the way in which this Government organization has crumbled from within, had me wailing inside with desperation. I had just been browsing through the Sunday papers and all I saw was one case of corrupt greed after another. One case of the wrong guy in charge of a big budget after another. One case of someone heading up a department of which he has no clue as what is required and no real desire to even be there.

ESKOM's cracked silo has been an issue for many months already. But why pay attention to it before it collapses? What for? That would prevent the chance of a big budget arriving to fix it. I laugh at the people who say we must get it right before the international investors look elsewhere to invest. LOL! They have already left. Gone! They are not going to wait around and check to see if we can get our act together, there are many other countries that are not going down the tubes like this one that will happily provide the environment that gives them the confidence to invest in them.

With my head reeling from the thought of how our potential as a nation is being spewed into the gutter of greed and self aggrandisement, I looked to the international situation, hoping there might be a solution for us out there somewhere.

With Putin reported to be in talks with Number 1 over a nuclear power solution to our needs that have been virtually ignored for the past twenty years, maybe thare is light at the end of the tunnel. But then we have to look at the Medupi power plant, which was supposed to come on line last year. But guess what stalled the progress. Guess. Ja, the same s#!% that is slowly draining the life out of this country. The same incompetent corruption and skull doggery that seems to be infiltrating the very fabric of our society.

So while I was looking to the international world I saw that ISIS has put in place a price list for slave girls captured in northern Irak. If you are old then you are cheap, but if you are under 9 years old or younger, then you fetch the fair price of $172.

I would rather not have an international community that will allow something like this to happen come to our rescue. Things are bad enough here as it is, but not that bad.
