Crawford College North Coast's Sports Awards

Crawford College North Coast's Sports Awards

Date: 2015-11-13
Crawford College North Coast College recently hosted their annual Sports Awards evening. Two awards were presented to the College's top teams namely the Chess Team and the Girls' Surfing Team. A special thank you was extended to our sponsors SMD, as well as our parents who contributed to the success of our sporting codes.

We would like to congratulate all our students who were recognized on the evening and in particular Teal Hogg, who was awarded the "Brad Winstanley" trophy which is awarded to the student who has achieved recognition in two or more aquatic sports throughout the year. Teal's phenomenal achievements included representing KZN in long board, short board, and Life Saving. She finished 3rd overall at this year's Ballito Pro in the women's category and she has recently returned from California after representing South Africa at the World Junior Championships.

The "Sportsmanship Male" trophy was awarded to a young man who has lead from the front and who is always ready to help the Sports Department. Ross Scott has captained the following sports - Rugby, Basketball, Cricket, Touch Rugby, Soccer, Water polo and Golf and is to be congratulated on his participation in all these sporting codes.

The "Sportsmanship Female" trophy was awarded to Melissa Little. Melissa has been a huge asset to the Sports Department over the years and we will certainly miss her smile and determination. She has captained Water polo, Action Netball, Netball and Softball.

The "Sports Person"trophy was awarded to Teal Hogg who was also recently nominated in the Mail and Guardian as one of the Top 100 South African Young Achievers.
