Soulfood Campaign

Soulfood Campaign

Date: 2016-08-12
Volunteers Erica Balouza and Msizi Myeni helping us to pack and sort through the amazing donations for The Robin Hood Foundation's Soulfood campaign at storage today that has come in so far from our community.

Says Kim Griffith Jones, co-ordinator of The Robin Hood Foundation, "It has long since been a dream of our Chairlady, Cindy Norcott, aside from our other community outreach projects, to host a Soup Kitchen in one of the less fortunate communities we visit. This month, we are going to host "Soup Kitchens" in the rural communities of Ntshongweni and Shongweni on the 17th August and 30th August respectively. We are appealing to our community to get involved and help us to achieve our goal of feeding nearly 2000 people from these communities as well as sending them off with a Gogo bag filled with non-perishables to cook for their families for the next week."

"We are so grateful for the amazing flood of donations we've already had pour into our storage units but are still needing the following to reach our target, so please do get in touch as we'd be so grateful for your help in blessings these Gogo's and Mkulus:??• 8000 variety of canned foods?• 1500 beanies ?• 1900 blankets?• 1900 scarves??email
