Duminy Fights On Despite The Flu

Duminy Fights On Despite The Flu

Date: 2016-09-23
Daniel Duminy's Killarney karting weekend never quite went to plan for the KZN kid racing in the penultimate round of the 2016 WP highschool Junior Max championship, when he awoke down and out with the flu Saturday morning. But that did not deter the fifteen-year old from going out and giving it his best in the first two races, even if he opted not to start the final heat of the day.

"I don't like giving up and I really tried my best," Daniel explained. "I just was so weak in the Kart today and I feel so disappointed about that and having to miss the last race, which zero points we can use as a drop, so today was not too bad. "I'll be back stronger than ever for the last round and chasing podium finishes, so it's still not over."

"I must thank all my supporters today; my folks and Ricky Perdigao my guru," Daniel concluded. "Now its time to rest for the big weekend coming - its Polo Cup time!" Young Duminy returns to his Engen Volkswagen Polo Cup duties on the Killarney main circuit Saturday 24 September, while the final round of the WP karting championships happen on 29 October.
