Baroque 2000 will return for its 6th concert of the Season to the Church of the Mariannhill Monastery on Sunday 4 November at 11h30.
This concert will mark the 10th anniversary of the Zukermann harpsichord that was built by Chris Brouckaert and his family, an instrument that has been used ever since by the ensemble in all its performances.
The acclaimed and virtuoso harpsichordist Erik Dippenaar (Cape Town) will return to the stage and perform the famous concerto in D minor and the 3d movement of the Italian Concerto, both works by JS Bach.
This festive programme will be complemented by P. Locatelli's trio for 2 violins and 2 continuo sections where a second harpsichord part will be performed by Dr David Smith. GF Handel's trio sonata in E major as well as William Hayes' harpsichord concerto will also feature in the programme.
Tickets @ R150 are sold at the door. There is ample, free and secure parking.
