Cape Summer Escape

Cape Summer Escape

Author: Tomas Yoko
Date: 2015-11-13
This summer you really should treat yourself to an authentic Cape Town experience.

We did and it was so rewarding. Staying at Tsogo Sun's SunSquare Cape Town Hotel proved to be an integral part of the whole experience. Situated in Gardens, at the base of Table Mountain on the edge of Cape Town's bustling business district, SunSquare Cape Town facilitated a most fantastic weekend.

The trendy Zepi Grill & Bar was perfect for the evening dinner where we were not up to going out on the town, and then it felt as though we had. The staff was so encouraging and happy we had a wonderful meal. I was eying out the terrace for our next visit, it looked so relaxing and enjoyable.

The rooms were perfectly comfortable and the staff must get mentioned again, especially Freddy who was whirlwind of exuberance and positivity. He really made our morning with helpful ideas for the days outing.

Camps Bay is just over the hill and the Waterfront straight down the road. All the arterial routes are very close by so getting in and out of town was relatively easy.

A short stroll one evening had us walking into the most intriguing little Italian Restaurant La Frasca, it was sublime and strolling back to the hotel after dinner, in the shadow of the great mountain, it was so surreal.

We visited wine estates and played golf in pristine Protea lined fairways, supped on fine foods while watching the sun set slowly over the Atlantic horizon. It was magical and SunSquare Cape Town added to the delight of our Cape Summer Escape.
