Charming French-Congolese singer Rene Tshiakanyi will be live in concert, with friends, at the Alliance Francaise de Durban for one night only on Thursday 2 November in a Concert of Hope as a fund raiser for Life Line Durban for which Rene is an ambassador.

Enjoy a delectable evening of delicious French-inspired cuisine; familiar and original music in the comfortable Al Fresco Alliance Française de Durban courtyard - while supporting a worthwhile cause.

The full programme features Rene Tshiakanyi, Richard Ellis, the Kickstands and Qadasi and Maqhinga. The event MC is Alice Leah.

Rene Tshiakanyi is a familiar presence at elegant dining establishments in and around greater Durban. Rene was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo in 1981. The second of 12 children, he developed a love for music and an interest in performance. He relocated to South Africa in 2008 and now resides in Durban. Singing in multiple languages, he describes his music and compositions as a mixture of classic pop; RnB; reggae and Zouk (which is a mixture of French and Caribbean music). His sound is undeniably distinctive.

The Life line Hope Concert shall have as MC the gracious Alice Leah, Winner of the KZN women Achievers in Business and current member of the KZN women in business.

Shaun Smith owner of Fusion cafÈ at the Alliancehas put together a light and affordable menu for the evening - with options for vegetarians; a pudding menu and a cheeseboard, and the coffee machine will be on, and the bar will be open.

Rene Tshiakanyi is a brand ambassador for Lifeline Durban - a respected and experienced NGO offering a professional and confidential counselling service dealing with emotional crisis, trauma, abuse, violence, rape,HIV / AIDSand depression / suicide.
