A day of fun for iCare

A day of fun for iCare

Date: 2012-07-18
On Tuesday, 10 July, the entire I Care staff, volunteers and boys from the various projects: the I Care homes, the rehabilitation center and the street children from the Hope Centre united for a fun day at Essenwood Park on the Berea.

It proved to be just that - a day of fun. The boys and staff were brought together for team building and to re-unite, catch up with each other's news and to encourage the importance of working together as a team for I Care. Potato & spoon (eggs proving too expensive these days), balloon-popping, water obstacle course and other fun games, including a football match, were enjoyed by staff and boys.

Boerwors rolls, expertly cooked on two braais by Cedric and Darryn, were very welcome after all the excitement and thoroughly enjoyed by everyone. Thanks to our two volunteers - Bertine from Be More and Lara, a UKZN Social Work student, assisted by I Care's Aimee - for organizing the entertainment and games.

A day of sunshine and fun was shared by an enthusiastic I Care team and proved to be a great success."
