Through My Eyes

Through My Eyes

Author: Kasia Yoko
Date: 2022-11-25

“Life is too short. Grudges are a waste of time, so laugh when you can, apologise when you must, and let go of what can’t be changed. Love what you’ve got, and always remember what you had. Forgive but never forget. People change, and things go wrong, but remember through it all…life goes on.” Author unknownWhat a time to be alive? With Christmas just around the corner, we have so much to be grateful for. I know that not everyone is rejoicing and that some people are having a real rough time now, but no matter what you are going through its up to you to try and find the flicker of hope in this mad, crazy and delirious world in which we live. It is said that our time begins at birth and ends on this earth with death. For most of us that is about 25,000 days. So naturally time is precious and cannot be stored up like grain in a barn. Once a moment passes it is gone forever. Our life on earth is a pilgrimage toward a sacred place. Each day, each week, each month and each year we must be progressive on our pilgrimage. We cannot do this unless we give some time to the higher power. Whatever that means to you.Life changes constantly. Actually life goes by so quickly sometimes you don’t even notice all the changes that have been happening. Every minute of your life has an expiration date, which is “Now.” Once a moment has passed, it is gone forever except in our memories. Actively seeking to cherish every moment as it happens, will not only help you feel gratitude for life, but also help you to have a more positive and happy outlook. Remember your attitude determines your altitude. And so when you reach the end of your life, you don’t want to regret all the things you didn’t attempt or recognise. Nothing hurts or stings more than regret, both of things we shouldn’t have done or things we should have done, but didn’t do. My mom’s favorite quote, which she loves repeating as often as the mood takes her and for as long as I can remember, has been; “Life is made up of regrets and lost opportunities – think deeply before you do anything.” Maria Koryl.I’m sure you can think of a few times in your life that you regret and those experiences are usually never far from your mind. Don’t you think its time to drop those memories and live in the moment?Because every moment is unique. We get one life experience and only one shot at life. The value of life is priceless. No two lives are exactly the same because no two people are exactly the same. Every person is unique, and since every minute of life is unique, we have the chance to cherish them all.Life is a beautiful gift. No amount of money can buy anyone another life. Therefore, life is a beautiful gift that we should cherish. It’s priceless. Your life could end at any moment that is the reality we all are facing, or evading. None of us know when we are going to leave this world. Therefore, it is important that we don’t procrastinate and cherishing every moment in our life as if it were our last, while planning for a bright future. Here’s to no regrets and living life until it bursts at the seams. Here is to being grateful for every breath in the present moment. Namaste…
