Suncoast's thrilling June line-up is not to be missed!

Suncoast's thrilling June line-up is not to be missed!

Get your calendars out, the month of June is the month of high velocity events at Suncoast. June will be filled with a Chase, a Run, a Dance and Red, Red Wine. It takes a special kind of team to create winning line-ups. It takes understanding, careful planning, and meticulous preparations. The events team at Suncoast has the winning formula and a vision to wow.

This passionate team consists of Louise Howell, the Marketing Manager, Meshalin Naidoo, the Events and Promotions Manager and Chwayita Madolo who is the Events Producer along with Sameera Pillay, the Mind and Mood Manager. The Bugle spoke to them last week about their exciting June events line-up, and their recipe for success.

From the beginning, they were adamant to stress that Durban is the place to be and that there is more to do at Suncoast than people might expect, "When we plan our events diary, we try to differentiate our offering enough so that Durbanites aren't just being offered the 'same-ol' type of events," said Louise Howell, Marketing Manager.

"The events we partner with are typically those with a proven success record, we want to guarantee a world-class entertainment experience, such as the 70.3 Iron Man or even on a smaller scale with The Never Ending Comedy Tour with Darren Maule. And finally, we want to provide a balance of different types of events so that there is something for everyone - be it for the sports lover; the comedy fan; the connoisseur... our events should give people a chance to connect, engage, be entertained, make new friends and make great memories."

"The team is passionate about what they do." said Meshalin Naidoo, Events and Promotions Manager, "I think what makes this events team stand out, is their ability to firstly see and identify the small details; and secondly their ability to expertly manage the "small stuff". These small details all add up to the big event, and whilst there can be weeks and months of small detailed planning required, it is crucial if you want the actual event hours to be successful. It's a like a chef in a kitchen - they spend hours of preparation in planning a menu; sourcing ingredients; preparing ingredients et cetera, and yet the meal is enjoyed in only a few minutes. But the quality of the meal is massively impacted on by the quality of preparation and planning."

When asked about the most memorable event hosted at Suncoast, Louise Howell, said; "At the risk of sounding stuck in the past, FIFA World Cup 2010 will forever be a personal highlight. It was an intense period of activity with multiple events on property, each attracting hundreds of thousands of people, the likes of which I am yet to experience again. It was eventing on an international scale and Suncoast was in the centre of the action."

So much love and dedication goes into sourcing and planning a successful events line-up, come and check out June's thrilling programme.
