"When we embrace uncertainty, it can be very liberating. If you can accept the uncertainty, it allows you to live life every day." - Victor Gospodinoff
It's not in my nature to be a victim. I always thrived on standing up to adversities and injustice, the new post pandemic world is creating some serious challenges for me as speaking out is not an option and being shut down is a huge possibility.
Something that really opened my eyes to the power of a strong mind was a saying that I read somewhere, "Hope and hopelessness are both a choice, so why not choose Hope?"
As we sail through all the uncertainties, and with Christmas around the corner we can all look forward to a more Festive Season, pending the pandemic status, of course.
Life is so hard for so many, whether you are a working Mom with children and a busy household, a single parent with rebellious teenagers or an ambitious executive burning the midnight oil to prove your worth at the firm. We are all consumed with work and our personal triumphs. Most limping along in an economy that is unstable and unforgiving.
With all the challenges and the significant trials, there is a division lurking in the muddy waters of our society - a constant drive to get vaccinated and to get the jab. And then another jab and another, and then maybe just topping up with a booster why not?
Being opposed to vaccine passports does not make someone an anti-vaxxer. There's a huge difference. But there are those who want to deliberately muddy the waters by falsely smearing people on this issue.
My heart breaks when I see the global hysteria caused by the new rules imposed by governments on their citizens, encouraging and now even forcing everyone to get jabbed.
For me, it truly is a personal choice, which has nothing to do with anyone. Will we remain silent while such a dark tide slides ever closer to our own shores, one country at a time?
A very clever man, Thomas Paine, once said, "If I do not believe as you believe, it proves that you do not believe as I believe, and that is all that it proves."
So let us all be kind and tolerant of one another, it costs nothing!
We are all driven to do more, strive for excellence and produce outstanding results for everyone to admire and comment on. The race to the finish line is being stretched at every moment, and lets face it, we are all chasing unrealistic goals.
They say everything happens for a reason. This pandemic was so bad for so many, yet so much good has came out of it; it was a game changer for many.
Sometimes the very reason for the change is unclear but eventually we understand.
Summer is almost here; so don't forget to smell the flowers, and slow the heck down! And for heaven's sake don't worry about anyone's vaccination status'
