Mini Masterchefs

Date: 2017-03-31

All their mothering instincts came to the fore when the Grade 3s from Maris Stella spent time at The Domino Foundation's Babies' Homes in Durban North. The girls came laden with loaves of bread, margarine and peanut butter and set about making small mountains of sandwiches for the programmes run by The Domino Foundation.

Once they had completed their "kitchen duties", the young ladies spent time playing with the babies and toddlers. Grade 3 teacher Michele Baird enthused, "It has been wonderful for our girls to have the opportunity to give to little people who have not had the same chances as they have had".

Sandy Hamblin, Leader of the Babies Homes programme, said she welcomes enquiries and support from corporates and individuals through donations of much-needed resources and financial contributions.

She can be contacted on 031 - 563 9605 or email babies@domino.org.za.
