What's the Issue?

What's the Issue?

Well it seems like it was a unanimous decision by the whole country that our Government were not to be trusted with any relief funding for the KZN flooding disaster. Imagine the insult that will be added to the injury if the funding given to government structures is once again stolen, in what seems to have become traditional nowadays in South Africa. How shameful it is as a nation to find ourselves with a leadership that has proven itself to be untrustworthy to this extent. Wow.

Seemingly an international problem when British Armed Forces Minister James Heappey revealed what must be either his lack of cognitive reasoning or a strong bias towards escalating the Russian Ukrainian conflict even further when he encouraged Ukrainian forces to use UK supplied weapons to launch attacks on Russian soil. This confirms that the war in Ukraine is nothing less than NATO?s proxy war with Russia. As the joke goes, Biden is prepared to fight to the last Ukrainian. All this while he invents environmentally friendly military vehicles. It doesn't get much better than this.

It is as if they have forgotten Hiroshima and Nagasaki and they press on with their money making wars and weapon sales and tanks and bombs as they feed our children into the fray, cannon fodder through the ages. When will the people learn?

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin recently gave the US a right tongue lashing saying, "The US claims to respect human rights, but the wars of aggression launched by the US and its allies killed over 300,000 civilians and made over 26 million people refugees. Yet, no one is held accountable for war crimes and crimes against humanity. The US even announced sanctions on the International Criminal Court who would investigate the war crimes of the US military." Not to mention Julian Asante, detained for reporting on US war crimes. The double standards are glaringly obvious, just maybe not to sleepy Joe.

The world is crowing about Elon Musk's takeover of Twitter, having found the funding for the $44 billion takeover bid for the company. Elon said it was the issue of freedom of speech being a cornerstone of democracy that motivated him the most. Well once again, see how that panned out for Julian, and he wasn't even the one making the speech, he just published it.

Soon we will see that democracy is nothing other than feudalism in disguise, you have the royalty, the aristocracy, the serfs and the peasants. Not much has changed except the illusion that we can change our King for one we elect every now and then.

Back home the flood ravaged KZN still reels in shock at the devastation and as the community opens its heart to help those worst hit by the waters, a small glimmer of hope for humanity pierces the darkness, only to be overshadowed by the impending corruption and further looting of government funding meant for the poorest of the poor and the most needy. This from the same leadership who continue to hold us under a State of Disaster without the proper logical reasoning, as though they intend to control us. Don't let them dim our light, shine on and help the needy as best you can, regardless.
