Aahad Draven Kasim is an HC ISE (Higher Certificate in Information Systems Engineering) and BSc IT (Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Technology) graduate (at Pearson Institute of Higher Education) with a passion for creative writing. He has spent the past 5 years writing fiction as a hobby - mainly fantasy, dark fantasy, thriller and horror.

Naturally being drawn towards the supernatural, murder mysteries, stories of survival and most horror-related topics, Aahad finds a great sense of elation in exploring the darker side of things.

Outside of writing, his interests and hobbies include boxing, gaming, music, movies and going on spontaneous, possibly life-threatening adventures with friends.

The launch of his first book titled "Void of the Deathless" took place on March 14 at the Maidstone Country Club and was a huge success.

What is "Void of the Deathless" about Love, hate and rage. About these emotions being the driving force behind Draven Graves' desire for vengeance against those who took away what mattered to him the most. It follows his journey to reclaiming what's rightfully his after being given a second chance in life by an otherworldly being only known as "The Reaper", who gives him the power to do so in exchange for carrying out his will.

Many people attended the event, including prominent figures such as DA Councillor and Attorney Yogis Govender and Chief Librarian Vijie Padayachee, who were the chief guests. The event was also attended by friends, family and the media.
