Excitement reigns as Melville Vogel presents car keys to winners for the last time
An air of excitement reigned at Sibaya Casino & Entertainment Kingdom on Tuesday, 30 April 2019 when two cars were given away in fast paced gaming promotions currently underway there. The first car, a Renault Kwid Dynamique, was won by Annappen Doorasamy in the outrageous 100 Cars in 100 Days promotion Bonus Draw. The second vehicle, a Nissan Qashqai valued at about R375 000, was won by Des Sydney in the 10 Point Car Chase draw. In addition to the car, Sibaya also gave away five coveted Golden Tickets.
The draws took place within 15 minutes of each other. The keys to the vehicles were handed over to the elated winners by Melville Vogel, Regional General Manager: Sibaya. This was the last time that he would do the honours of announcing winners of car draws at Sibaya. Melville Vogel began his illustrious career in hospitality with Sun International 37 years ago and was the youngest GM at the time to be appointed by Sun International in 1993 and over the course of his career he has given away over 1010 cars. He has taken a position at Sun International's Head Office in Sandton, Gauteng. Taking the reins from Melville Vogel is Myan Moodley, who leaves his role of General Manager at the Wild Coast Sun to join the Sibaya team.
"Nothing pleases us more than seeing our customers win big, and a new car is certainly big. We congratulate our winners and wish them many happy miles in their new rides.
"It was indeed a bittersweet moment for me; on the one hand to do the honours of handing over the keys to brand new cars to two of our most valued guests, and on the other hand, knowing that it would be the last time for me. Sibaya welcomes Myan Moodley in the position of General Manager. He brings a wealth of experience to the role and has a keen and passionate understanding of KwaZulu-Natal's market," said Melville Vogel.
