The Botanical Society of South Africa KZN Coastal Branch presents Road Reserve Conservation Pilot Project
An illustrated presentation by: Lance Rasmussen,
Manager: Special Services, Ethekwini Parks Dept
Municipal residential verges have been subject to heavy-handed brush-cutting that damage or remove indigenous vegetation, including declining indigenous terrestrial orchid species. The City has embarked on an exciting pilot roadside ecology programme in Shongweni that includes new ways of managing indigenous species in our verges.
All welcome!
