Dealing with your loss

Dealing with your loss

You have just lost a loved one. What do you do? Apart from dealing with the emotional aspect of losing a loved one reality starts to set in and you find yourself in a very difficult place, bills start arriving at your doorstep and creditors of the deceased are calling you constantly. If the deceased had a Will all of this administrative burden would we dealt with.

One cannot stress the importance of having a Will or updating your existing Will. No matter how big or small your estate is it is important that when you pass on that your affairs can be administered quickly and efficiently.

More important than drawing a will is to inform your loved ones about whom you have appointed to administer your estate on your death, and where your last Will and testament is kept. As much as we shy away from discussing this topic I believe it is very important to talk to loved ones as life is far too uncertain.

I strongly urge young parents to make provisions for the guardianship and care of their young children a priority in their Wills.
