Groundbreaking News for Palm Lakes Retirement Village

Groundbreaking News for Palm Lakes Retirement Village

Date: 2013-12-20
Ground has now been officially broken on Palm Lakes Retirement Village, signalling the start of the next phase of development for Royal Palm Property Holdings' family lifestyle estate, Palm Lakes.

Groundbreaking took place on 4 December, with infrustructure such as roads (to be built by R&B Pipeline Contractors) and services to be completed first. The first 2 showhouses will be ready and furnished by March 2014, with occupancy scheduled for April. Occupancy of secitonal title units is planned for later in 2014.

The development of Palm Lakes Retirement Village will involve various partnerships between Royal Palm Property Holdings and selected experts in the field of retirement village development.

Having specialised in retirement villages since 1979, Nellie van Staden has completed 58 retirement developments, and her knowledge and experience allow her to provide excellent advice to prospective buyers. In additon, while Royal Palm Property Holdings will develop the sectional title units, John Cotterell of Regency Developments has been brought on board to build the free standing units that will form part of the Palm Lakes Retirement Village. John has invaluable experience in the retirement village development sector, having been involved in the development of many upmarket retirement villages - including the renowned Graceland in Hillcrest, KwaZulu-Natal.

As a Carenet affilliated retirement village, Palm Lakes Retirement Village will offer residents the best that retirement living has to offer - with every level of need provided for by individualised care programmes. Palm Lakes Retirement Village residents will be encouraged to live a healthy, active lifestyle through Carenet's 'active aging' approach. From independent living and preventative care to assisted living, home based and terminal frail care, residents will be able to remain in the comfort of their own space for as long as they choose.

In addition, Palm Lakes Retirement Village residents will have access to all of the fantastic facilities that the Palm Lakes Family Estate has to offer, including clubhouses, golf and various outdoor activities in a breathtaking, tranquil setting.

Sectional title units at Palm Lakes Retirement Village will start from R1 240 000, while free standing homes will be priced from R1 895 000 for 2 bed 2 bath.
