The Spectacular Oceans Hotel launches - The Radisson Blu Oceans Umhlanga Hotel Apartments

The Spectacular Oceans Hotel launches - The Radisson Blu Oceans Umhlanga Hotel Apartments

Date: 2017-03-10

Last week Vivian Reddy introduced his Pam Golding Sales team responsible for the sales of his Radisson Blu Oceans Umhlanga Hotel apartments. Interested parties, including some committed investors, gathered at the Oceans Umhlanga on Site Sales Centre, to see how they could be a part of this iconic development, right in the heart of Umhlanga.

The Umhlanga skyline will soon undergo a futuristic transformation.Oceans Umhlanga, a luxury mixed-use development valued at over R3.1 billion, was launched in December last year by former Minister of Finance, Nhlanhla Nene, and King Goodwill Zwelithini, at a lavish event in the Beverly Hills Hotel in Umhlanga. The cutting edge contemporary development is the brainchild of both Vivian Reddy and Rob Alexander of Edison and Ducatus Property Groups respectively.

The internationally branded Radisson Blu Hotel will aim at attracting business or corporate travellers, whilst ensuring that both local and international tourists are also catered for, the hotel also boasts sharia compliance. The architectural style is cutting-edge contemporary; the futuristic curvilinear lines of the building are expressed in a combination of glass and distinctive materials. Balconies wrap themselves around the building, to create a fluid and dynamic set of exquisite sculptural forms.

Late last year, Vivian Reddy scored another major first in property development by the release of a unique Investment opportunity in the much-vaunted Oceans Umhlanga development. This will be the first time ever that the internationally famous Radisson Hotel group has opened in KwaZulu-Natal. Vivian Reddy devised a revolutionary investment model for the KZN community, where every economic level of the population will be afforded the potential to acquire a "stake" in the Hotel.

The hotel will have 209 gorgeous rooms, 40 deluxe long-stay apartments and 2 palatial penthouses. The 800-seater, state of the art conferencing facility, which includes 6 breakaway rooms for stylish meeting venues, will ensure that business can be taken care of away from the office. If in need of sustenance a sumptuous all day restaurant, bar and coffee shop will serve up a wide variety of culinary styles and gastronomic delights to the delegates.

While prices range from, R2.8 to R5.8 million for 1 & 2 bedroom suites, holiday letting provides strong income return potential in addition to the capital appreciation.

Reddy remarked at the launch "It will give me the greatest joy to see even an average earner point to this iconic, internationally renowned, Radisson Blu Hotel and proudly state - I am one of the Shareholders in this magnificent Hotel."

The awe-inspiring iconic development will be complemented by a world-class shopping mall with over 100 stores, featuring international super brands, such as Burberry, Versace, Armani and Paul Smith. It is rated to be one of the top three high-end malls in the country.

"I have decided to act and address the criticism that business does not share its wealth. In effect I am giving away R2bn of our future wealth. To this end the 206 roomed Radisson Blu Hotel in Umhlanga Rocks will be offered at an affordable price whereby even a domestic worker will also be able to afford to buy the shares of R20 each. The total share offering is just over R600million, the unique investment opportunity is projected to achieve an annual dividend of 8.6% to 10.26% and estimated 350% increase in asset valuation to R1,6 billion - R2 billion over a 10 to 15 year period." Reddy added.
