Musgrave Methodist International Food Fair

Musgrave Methodist International Food Fair

Date: 2013-10-25
Musgrave Methodist Church, in Durban's Musgrave Road, is hosting its now annual fourth International Food Fair for one evening only on Friday, 1 November 2013.

They will be offering a myriad international dishes, patriotic fare, exotic cuisine and delicious desserts in the church hall and gardens from 5pm until 8.30pm.

The family event is a fundraiser for the church's property and projects, to create awareness about the activities of the church, and to enjoy unusual food, fellowship and great company.

The global menu features Rajasthani delights by "Come Dine With Me - South Africa" finalist, Jeffrey Titus; Chinese delights by the Chinese community; Potjie (Reverend Bosch's personal contribution), boerewors rolls and pancakes from South Africa; Pizza from Italy; mouth-watering bunnychows and biryani from India; Thai Chicken curry from Thailand; sweets and candyfloss for the children and an oasis of delicious desserts and cakes. To finish it all off, hot cappuccinos, tea, coffee or cool drinks will be on sale.

There will be a Jumping Castle for the children and a sweet store to keep them busy.

"We are hoping our Food Fair provides a fun, family-friendly, affordable alternative to an evening of home cooking for families on the Berea and beyond," says Musgrave Methodist's Reverend Stuart Bosch.

Sample global delights in a festive al-fresco-like atmosphere in the hall grounds of one of the city's landmark historic churches. Sample-size portions can be purchased on a ticketing system. Tickets of various denominations can be bought on the evening. All profits go to Musgrave Methodist Church. For more information, contact the church office on 0312012005.
