What is the issue

Well the show must go on and bring on the clowns, we're just getting warmed up here in the big top.

South African's are now waking up to find they have a hangover from a wedding party that they didn't even attend. The rumour going around is that we the people paid around 34 million Rand towards the Gupta wedding, not to mention opening up our state borders so that they could be violated with impunity.

Our latest finance minister, who has a bachelor's degree in education and a master's degree in social policy, according to some sources, must have been listening to his team of financial advisors when he decided to give the failing South African Airways another mega billion bailout of a whopping great two billion and three hundred million Rands. Where is all this money coming from

Gigaba said regarding the gigantic bailout and I quote "We have used money available in a fiscally neutral way. We haven't affected the fiscal framework." So there is R2.3 billion rand just lying there and moving it to a failing business will not affect the fiscal framework. Did I get that right, I ask because I am no financial boffin, I struggle to balance my own checkbook, I know if I take R2.30 out of my budget it will get noticed. But check this, SAA is losing R370 million a month, this bailout means SAA can repay the Standard and Chartered loan, but there is still another R6.7 BILLION loan that SAA managed to get rolled over. It's staggering, and all the economists out there, who have degrees in economics, seem to be saying the same thing and that is, immediately remove SAA Chairperson Dudu Myeni. Hello

But besides that the education departmnet is rumoured to want to scrap mathematics as an essential subjet to pass the year, while dropping all the averages as low as 30% to pass the subject. That's a great start.

Then we are really clowning around with American President Donald Dump attacking the media in a most juvenile fashion, one completely unbecoming of a man of his office, and while he is rummaging arounbd on the ringside floor, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping were meeting in Moscow to discuss serious international issues.

Sanity has prevailed with the two super power leaders agreeing that North korea end missile testing and the US and South Korea end their war games and the erection of the THAAD missile program. A joint statement from the two super powers said "The two sides stress that justified North Korean concerns should be respected," and "A possibility of the use of military measures to solve the problems of the Korean Peninsula must be ruled out,"which is music to my ears, if not the weapons manufacturer's.

So while Russia - China relations are strengthening to the best levels we have seen in decades, Donald Dump is ostracising China and recently Germany as well. And we thought we had problems with our Gupta guy.
