Well sense of humour failure is the order of the day, but I'm not swallowing that stuff. I will smile on in the face of adversity regardless, you can join me, just keep an eye out for those guys in the big white van with the red lights and those tight jackets with the buttons at the back, they are really hard to get off, I needed help with mine.
The gorgeous Nigerian author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie was such an inspiration when she responded to some inane question about whether there are bookshops in her home country, Nigeria. Her responses were so intelligent as to be inspirational. She did not slide in to the depth of ridiculousness and offer the knee jerk response that most people have these days. I love her.
It is also uplifting to see that the much feared investigator Paul O'Sullivan and his House of Lords buddy Peter Hain going after the UK State Capture Law firm Hogan Lovells, who O'Sullivan is quoted as having said, "It is clear to me now, that there was a hidden conspiracy, in covering up the criminal conduct of Makwakwa and his de facto spouse, so that they would be free to return to Sars and continue to assist Moyane in helping President Zuma's accomplices evade payment of billions of Rands in taxes, including letting Zuma and his family off the hook for many, if not hundreds of millions in unpaid taxes."
Another one who thought he got away is Saudi Prince Mohammed bin Salman, who is being reigned in by the director of Human Rights for Yemen, Kim Sharif, accusing the Saudi Prince of war crimes in the obliterating bambardment Saudi Arabia has delivered on its neighbor, not without the help of the USA I feel I must add. He wants him arrested and tried for war crimes when he visits the UK soon. Hmm, this could get interesting.
Somebody has to take that smart phone away from Madam Zille, she just can't keep her feet out of her mouth. The water crisis in Cape town is reaching boiling point, and now everybody is jumping in to save the day. The political scene is awash with brave comments and deep ideas.
As I write this our parliament's sub committee is meeting to discuss the process of impeaching a president in our republic. I hope they're meeting with the intent to do just that as our current president just wont get out the way and let the country heal itself from the state murdering capture we have been subjected to.
In other news the USA just keeps coming up looking more and more stupid every time they're in the news. Russia's president made fun of the US Treasury's 'Kremlin List', jokingly saying that he was disappointed at having been left off the list. His attitude of "The dogs bark but the caravan moves on" must be so frustrating for the US, and then FBI deputy director Andrew McCabe resigns from the agency and the Germans start backtracking saying that the Anti-Russian sanctions over the Ukraine have achieved nothing except to put a huge strain on the German economy. It must be hard to be a president.
