Ground-Breaking for Crawford North Coast

Ground-Breaking for Crawford North Coast

Date: 2015-07-31
Crawford College North Coast had a memorable week as they broke ground with the construction of their new Hockey AstroTurf. The AstroTurf will be a water based field that hasFIH Global classification for Olympic and international tournaments.

It will cover one full-size field (100 x 60 meters) that includes a pitch with a very high density of artificial grass and no sand infill thus providing a consistent ball roll and bounce.

The AstroTurf surrounds will include lighting fixture for night games and a technical area with state of the art video analysis as well as a small grandstand for spectator viewing.

The AstroTurf will not only be an asset to the Crawford campus but also a benefit to all hockey players and surrounding clubs in the community. The Crawfordians are filled with excitement and are looking forward to playing their first match.
