Driving The New Tiguan
Date: 2016-12-02
From the moment I took up the position of control in the driver's seat, I was impressed. The cabin was awash with light teeming in through the panoramic sunroof and the instrument cluster and digital interface blinked at me with anticipation.
Driving the new Volkswagen Tiguan was like becoming an SUV myself. The car seemed to effortlessly become an extension of my intentions. The acceleration was smooth with power transfer and gear changes even smoother. Before long I found myself become far too comfortable in the Volkswagen Tiguan, I had to keep reminding myself that they were going to come and take it away from me soon so I couldn't get too attached.
Everything about the new Tiguan was exceptional. The 400 watt DYNAUDIO Excite Surround system sound system produced exceptional sound quality and the media interface connected with my smart phone with total ease.
After driving around in total comfort, feeling like a Numzaan steering with two fingers, I decided to put the Tiguan through its paces. The emergency braking procedure from 120 kilometres per hour to standstill had the Tiguan chomping on the ABS brakes. It handled the test with aplomb. Then the swerve test, we have so many traffic circles, and the chassis and suspension of the Tiguan had me raising my eyebrows with appreciation.
