Now, a group of Norwegian experts have published the findings of a study and determined that there still is no evidence of health risk with use of mobile phones and wireless networks.
The Norwegian Institute of Public Health was commissioned to appoint an "Expert Committee" by the Norwegian Ministry of Health and Care Services along with the Ministry of Transport and Communication.
The committee says it assessed numerous possible health effects from these low-level electromagnetic fields and found zero evidence that low-level fields increase the risk of cancer, impair male fertility, cause other reproductive damage, or have a chance of leading to other diseases or health effects.
As an explanation, the group noted that "the threshold limit values for these fields are 50 times below the level that causes heating of human tissue or stimulation of nerve cells."
Researchers suggest that they cannot be 100 percent right and there remains uncertainty in risk assessments. However, that uncertainty is believed to be "small". Either way, it seems the scientific community needs to re-assess the true impact of cellular and wireless radiation, with the general consensus being that wireless devices are a direct cause of cancer and other ailments. Vox populi aside, the public can now sleep easier, knowing that their cell phones aren't slowly killing them while they snore.
