The final event on the IBV Supercar Club calendar was the much anticipated Breakfast Run and Track Experience. In true supercar luxury, they pulled out all the stops
Already known for their Guinness World Record of raising R1 million with a parade of over 211 supercars in Durban, the world-renowned Club had one more exclusive event to send 2017 off in speed and style. For esteemed members and their guests, it proved to be the penultimate in thrills and passion for the extraordinary.
Saturday 2nd December saw 50 qualifying supercars meet at the stylishly popular Greedy Buddha, Gateway. Here, South Africa's supercar elite gathered to mingle at 8h00, with a light breakfast to start their engines.
A convoy saw the likes of Maserati, Porsche, Ferrari and Aston Martin hit the N2 along the scenic route towards Dezzi Raceway. The Club then changed gears to an afternoon of pure race adrenaline along all 2.5 km of the track. This Port Shepstone jewel was built on an airfield, overlooking the entire majestic coastline. It provided a single tarred runway and a full circuit track, which was met with great delight.
All in all, it was nothing but the full racing experience. From open pits to unlimited track time, VIP viewing decks, a delectable buffet lunch, go-karting and a shoot-out, there was nothing missing from the excitement of the day. There was also automatic entrance for all drivers into lucky draws for a 1oz Silver Krugerrand and several hampers.
This event also marked the launch of the new IBV Supercar Showroom, which sells sought-after and exotic cars, supercars and vintage vehicles. It's a promising addition to the IBV Supercar Club portfolio and one that clients are already ecstatic about.
With the ultimate in action, esteemed vehicles, giveaways, and networking, members ended 2017 on a high! The IBV Supercar Club looks forward to the 2018 calendar and the exclusive events to come.
