After 50 days from when the Topstars Reality Show was launched in KwaZulu Natal, Nomfundo Mzolo from Empangeni, dreams of becoming an on air presenter at Gagasi FM became a reality on Saturday night at a glittering black tie affair with the who's who in attendance witnessing the occasion.
Beating 1000's of hopefuls, she will receive a one year on air presenter contract courtesy of Gagasi FM as well as a new laptop, smartphone and shopping voucher courtesy of RedGrape Media & Events.
When asked how she felt, "I am lost for words, and then said laughingly, that's not a good start for my new position"! However, once regaining composure, she thanked everyone involved from her family, "her new family" the Gagasi FM team, the KZN Office of the Premier, RedGrape Media & Events production and especially her fellow finalists.
Managing Director, Chris Meyiwa, stated "it is important for us to give the youth opportunities, and as a KZN based radio station with a youthful listenership, we have achieved this goal by not only interacting with our audience but also making them a part of our product. The fact that we empowered youth through skills transfer made this an worthwhile initiative. "
