World Golfers Championship
The World Golfers Championship returned to the north coast from 29 October to 7 November when Umhlali Country Club played host once again to this prestigious and the world's largest amateur golf tournament. 24 countries in the championship, 21 countries in the Invitational and up to 300 golfers from all over the world competed for the 20th commemorative title, but it was Team SA that defended the title and secured a 2nd home victory.
Also experiencing an international golfing experience were 4 young golfers from the Umhlali Junior Golf Academy, who at the invitation of World Golf Events South Africa played in the 2-day Sven Tumba Classic at Prince's Grant Golf Estate and Beachwood Country Club.
