Verulam Kalay Khazhagam

Verulam Kalay Khazhagam

Date: 2012-11-07
Last month the Verulam Kalay Khazhagam under the auspices of the Verulam Co-ordinating Committee hosted Saraswathie Vizhaa, celebrated our 25th Anniversary and honoured Professor K.G. Moodley and Shrimadi Saro Moodley with the 'Pon Aaday' (Golden Shawl) for their contributions to religion and culture in Verulam and beyond.

To celebrate these events, they had various items in the form of song, dance and sketches. The Khazhagam had its informal beginings in 1984. A group met regularly to receive training in the performance of musical (both vocal and instrumental) and dance items at the regional and provincial eistedfodds.

The function was a huge success. A very big thank you goes out to those that attended the function, well wishes and all members of the Verulam Kalay Khazagam for their hard work and dedication towards the organisation.
