Ballito Lions Club Fund Raising Golf Day - 13th October 2013
Ballito Lions Club Fund Raising Golf Day - 13th October 2013
This golf day is hosted annually and all funds from this event are donated to a specific welfare organisation. One of our biggest highlights was raising a substantial amount allowing us to purchase a brand new bakkie which was donated to St Vincent De Paul with a ton of food in it. This vehicle is used on a daily basis to collect food from the local supermarkets and restaurants. It is also used to transport the sick to the hospice and hospital. They are currently assisting 300 orphans on a daily basis as well as providing food rations for up to 700 destitute persons.
We would like to thank all the golfers and sponsors who have contributed to this mammoth task. The 2013 Gold Day is being hosted in conjunction with Vision 153, and will be their major fund raising effort for the year. In common with most other charities, they are struggling financially in these tough times. Their income is declining alarmingly and their expenses keep increasing. We feel we simply cannot allow their services to the poor, sick and hungry to decrease.
Vision 153 is a service organisation; they also collect food, clothing, medicines etc. They are in desperate need of a vehicle to transport various items to the township. Funds raised from this golf day will be contributed to this vehicle.
We humbly appeal to you to please support us. We are offering the opportunity for you to do so and also obtain some marketing exposure for your company by sponsoring:
- TEE BOXES at R1000
- GREENS at R500 each where you will be able to display your product by displaying your banner
- PRIZES for Raffles or golf winners
- VOUCHERS for redemption
- CASH donations
- 4BALL Team R2400 (inc. Green fees, carts and lunch)
We are also looking forward for corporate sponsors to advertise at the Halfway House and Club House at a cost of R5000 each.
Please help us ensure that they can continue these services- it would be disastrous if they had to scale down by any one of them. We would be happy to provide any further details you may require, including a Tax Invoice where you can claim back any donation as a legitimate tax deduction.
Should you need any further clarification on the above please do not hesitate to contact me or my committee members. Yours in Community Service, Paul Naidoo. paul.naidoo@bmwdealer.co.za
