It's Sunday night and I can't sleep, listening to my husband's soft breathing, I try to get to the root of my Sunday insomnia and suddenly it hits me; I can't sleep because I am really dreading Monday.
It was never like that, Mondays did not scare me, they were there to scare other people, but something has shifted and now Mondays and Tuesdays are the worst days of the week.
There are so many self help articles floating around advising us how to get a grip and love that Monday, some even speak to me but most just don'tyou see its not that I hate my job or hate my boss or hate my life, in truth, I'm just overwhelmed by the sudden pressures of this intense demanding life that I have chosen for myself, and I am not the only one.
The pace of life has spun out of control for most people I know. Somehow all of us need to work that much harder at it than beforebefore Mondays were slow and unambitious, one could slack off on this dayleave it for Tuesday but these days If I leave it for Tuesday I will be drowning in commitments on Wednesday and so it goes ona cycle of bad attitudes.
So here is what I found on the internet to make my Monday blues a little brighter, here is some sobering advice from Marko Zupanic from Goalcast, Marko is a dreamer, a blogger, and a life coach, who is helping everyone to achieve the life of their dreams. Once you understand that success doesn't mean money, but love, smiles and happiness, your life will become much better.
According to Marko there are two reasons why you might hate Mondays, one is you've become a part of the global view that Mondays are bad days or you're not living a life that would allow you to enjoy your Monday.
He says that in order to stop seeing Monday as a bad day, you need to fix your way of thinking. First and foremost, you have to start creating your own attitudes about your life, and the people who surround you.
You need to build your lifestyle, on the premise that you want to use every day of your life to the fullest. Spend it with your loved ones, with a constant smile on your face.
The change of a lifestyle is mostly related to business or health. These are the two factors that encourage us to change our way of life: our place of residence, or the people who surround us. Don't change your life because of your job. It would be better to change your jobto achieve the lifestyle your striving for.
Marko reminds us that, It doesn't matter if it's Monday, Thursday, Saturday, or some other day,today is your day to shine. Today is the right time to show your talent and your worth to the world.
He says, "Don't try to prove your worth to others; the most important thing is to show it to yourself. The opinion of others is very often not relevant at all, because at the end of the day, what matters is us, and our satisfaction with our life. Monday can be your favourite day of the week. Adopt some new habits, and start living the life you deserve. Stop following the global trend of labelling Monday, devote yourself to becoming a better person day by day instead."
