Unique new recipe book

Unique new recipe book

Date: 2013-11-01
Get your copy at the Christmas Country Fair

A new recipe book is always a welcome addition to any bookshelf. And an exciting and unique recipe book with tried and tested recipes supplied by local north coast foodies, will be a winner in any kitchen.

The Hearts that Hope organisation, an outreach project of the Linc Church in Fox Hill, Salt Rock, has come up with this novel idea to raise funds for their children's home project. Brainchild of Lyndall VanderYacht and Stella Schroder, the book contains 200 recipes, from snacks and starters to mains and lovely baked goodies.

The design and layout were done by Lyndall's brother Declan Sharp, and the result is a beautiful book that will inspire local housewives to get out the aprons and dust off the baking pans.

The launch of the recipe book will take place at the Christmas Country Fair which will be held on 6 and 7 November at Collisheen Estate.  Hearts that Hope will have a stand at the Fair where the book will be sold at R150 per copy. They  will also serve sample dishes to give buyers a taste of what is hidden between the pages.  All funds raised from the sale of the book will go towards securing a property in Cranbrook where a children's home will be established.

Tickets to the Christmas Country Fair at R40 per person will be on sale at the entrance or can be bought in advance from One of a Kind at Burnedale (Umhlali) or at Bliss Divine in Ballito Bay Mall.

For more information about the Fair, contact Sue Rowland on 079696 3782.
