In the Glass Box, join in an interactive analogue chatroom for the 21st century created titled Guestroom by visiting Swiss performance artists Jonas Gillmann and Ute Sengebusch working with Durban actors Mpume Mthombeni and Belinda Henwood. The participative performance begins at 19h00.
Before you settle in for the show, you are welcome to engage with our latest LAB Talk on urban space focusing on low cost housing. Brought to you by the Urban Futures Centre, Prof Monique Marks and Kira Erwin will talk about their recently published book, Voices of Resilience that looks at Kenneth Gardens from the apartheid period until today. The talk focuses on positive learnings from Kenneth Gardens, in particular the importance of designing meaningful social contact. The guest speaker is eThekwini Deputy City Manager, Beryl Mphakathi.
